The Importance and need for Shreemangalchandika Prapatti

प्रपत्ती – आप्पत्ती निवारण करणारी शरणागती…

Importance and Need for Shreemangalchandika Prapatti
{To be offered by Women }

Let us firstly know what the word Prapatti means…….
The word ‘Prapatti’ means – surrender that relieves of disaster or calamity.
Prapatti – there are five aspects of it
First aspect Chandika Mahishasurmardini - She is the Mother of paramatma and therefore the paramatma is forever in a state of surrender unto Her and so it follows that I too must be in surrender unto Her.
Second aspect and principle - is to harbor and also repeatedly express the unshakable belief anchored firm in the heart that the Chandika Herself and through Her dear Son as well, will DEFINITELY protect me. One should not only hold on to the belief nut also root it firmly in our hearts that Chandika and HER Son Trivikram will definitely protect us.
Third aspect – This one is the most important aspect of Prapatti,is accepting with love and faith as our refuge, the Son of Chandika – the paramatma whom we call Mahavishnu, Sai Ram, Krishna or the Pramshiva, willingly choosing to live in his refuge and shelter, recalling Him to the mind with love, observing His instructions at all times and at all costs, having unconditional, singular and whole-hearted faith that He and He alone is my support my one and only support in life.
Fourth principle – is Praying to Her with love saying ‘ O MOTHER Chandika, hold me in Your arms, hold me close and hand over my charge/me to the paramatma ‘
Fifth aspect – is to offer yourself lovingly, surrender to Chandika so that you keep enhancing and intensifying your bhakti and so that with Her grace you attain success and fulfillment both at the worldly and at the spiritual levels. Praying with sentiments expressing in words ‘ I offer myself in unconditional, whole-hearted and singularly focused faith, turn to you with love, please accept me.Complete total honesty, is actually surrendering unto Her.
Shreemangalchandika Prapatti is to be performed imbibing all these

Shreemangalchandika Prapatti is to offered by Women

Any women above the age of sixteen can offer this prapatti

Women will offer the Shreemangalchandika Prapatti on the day of Sankranti. Why this day?
This is because that was the day when mata Mahishasurmardini first set Her feet on this earth at Kataraaj ashram of rishi Kardam and Devahuti, the purpose was to destroy Mahishasur.
Women will offer this Prapatti after sunset on the day of Sankranti because it was after sunset Mahishasurmardini set her foot in Kataraaj ashram, if she had to come in day light no human would have been able to bear her radiance and so she came after sunset when it was dark.
Women will offer this Prapatti after sunset on the day od Sankranti in outdoors in open space, offering this Prapatti on this very day makes out of every women the protective soldier of her family on one hand and a bodyguard on the other of her each family member irrespective ofshe being a mother, a wife and a sister, she definitely become the protector of her family.
One can’t offer this Prapatti in and enclosed place like within four walls, it has to be offered in an open space like, on a beach, river banks, balcony, Terrace or open place between two chawls. More the women doing it together better it is
Women who offer this Prapatti become soldier of Chandika and become able to protect their family, household and their dear ones
A women gets worried when her son comes back home late from school or work, she is worried when her son falls in love  with a worthless girl, she is worried when her daughter is elopes with a wrong person, a women is always worried for her family just because of love towards them. After offering this Prapatti a women will be able to protect her family and home in such conditions.
She will never be helpless
She will never be vulnerable
She will be strong and capable of protecting her house hold
She will accomplish all this when she offers this Prapatti on the day of Sankranti after sunset.

The Material Used For Poojan

Out of the above mentioned material the fragrant flowers are to be offered to the Trivikram, the banana is to be offered to Chandika Mata, the banana has to be eaten then and there. The curds are to be taken home and given to the men at home or offer it to the roots of a plant. The sugarcane is to be carried home and eaten by all women not necessary the same day, but little every day. The rest of the poojan material (except the bananas, curds, sugarcane and fragrant flowers) may be used to make sambar and eaten with chapattis and rice by both men and women; you can add masala of your choice.
But very important make sure no other vegetable (bhaji) is cooked on that day only the sambar made by the poojan material.
                                    The Arrangement (Mandani

All the poojan material is to be placed in a large platter which also carries the Abhicharnashak Purchundi; the abhichaar is all the wrong or evil deeds like black magic. And Purchundi is a tiny pouch or packet which contains salt, poppy seeds and camphor wrapped in betel leaves tide with a string o form a sachet.
With the small platter carrying the pooja material women will sing the aarti ‘ Maatey Gayatri sinhaarudha bhagwati…. Ude,.

Holding the small platter women will go around the symbolic representation of the Chandika reciting the Gurukshetram mantra.

Then perform the drushta (nazar utarna ) with the Abhicharnashak Purchundi and pray to Trivikram saying ‘My dear paramatama, with the help of your Mother, please avert and destroy evil thought, intention or any evil power that come to my family’s way and please Bless.’  Now offer the pouch in a sacred fire that will be created by lighting camphor and twigs.

The fire created in this way is the Mahishasurmardini’s aura of radiant energy. By way of this gesture what you are accomplishing is, you hand over all responsibility to the Trivikram.

It is infarct a prayer that says
‘Please rid us of all that stands in the way of well being, welfare and all that is appropriate. All that is evil, all ill will having gone into this aura, your household will have welfare and well being

After completion of the Poojan procedure recite the mantra ‘Om Aeem Greem Kleem Chamundayaee Vichche”  9 times and offer the akshata  at the Feet of  Chandika offering the flowers to Trivikram and put out the fire with Neem leaves. Apply the kumkum of Chandikas feet to your forehead or throat one cannot take the kumkum home it has to be applied then and there.

IT IS  HER GRACE ALONE THAT  IS GOING TO MAKE THINGS` POSSIBLE

Formation Of The Upasna kendra

|| Hari Om ||

Upasna Kendra,
Firstly let us know why there was a need to start upasna centres,
In our day-to-day life’s we are faced with many problems or difficulties and for a solution from them we seek protection under God’s shelter. When we do not find Him providing the solution to our issues, we tend to run helter-skelter to sources we think will provide us with instanht relief were we are only m
The lack of Bhakti and Seva leads to mental stress which is the main reason we are delayed in finding solution to our problems. The path to find peace and relief from worldly issues is found at the Upasana Centres where we not only get strength to face our problems but we are gently led towards GOD Upasna Centres is the place where we understand that only pure Bhakti will lead us toultimate peace in life.
The first Collective Upasana was performed on 9th May 1997 on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya. Today, Upasana Centres are spread across the globe, where upasna is conducted generally on all the Saturdays of all months.
The Upasana Centres gently teach bhakti by following the practice of collective praying. All gather together at the various centres and perform the collective upasana based on the Sadguru’s principles.
The benefits of collective upasana are as under:isled or cheated. We need to understand that just as in a bank if we have enough deposits, we can withdraw quickly or get a loan easily, and similarly if there is not enough deposit of Bhakti in our bank of Life, then our issues take longer to get resolved.
  1. One receives more positive vibes and the impact is greater when one prays in a group rather than alone
  2. We can concentrate and focus much better when praying with others as one tends to get distracted or lose attention when praying by oneself
  3. When I pray collectively, I am praying for myself as well as for others and thus the prayers reach the five elements of nature and the Lord much faster
  4. The practice of collective upasana builds unity in society and also strengthens it spiritually. Collective praying at the Upasana Centres thus builds and strengthens both the individual as well as the nation.
And so based on the above principles of Param Pujay Aniruddha Bapu  we at Borivali East started our upasna centre on 10th FEBRUARY 2001 at the residence of SAU VANMALA PITALE at Shiv Sai Co – operating housing society, Shiv Vallabh road,Ashok Van, Borivali East.

Initially there was a presence of 60 to 70 bhakta’s on every Saturday, slowly Param Pujay Bapu’s preaching’s and the importance of praying collectively spread around and the presence of bhaktas started to increase where we felt a need for a bigger place.

August 2001 was the So some of the bhaktas at the upasna centre came together and started looking for a bigger place finaly with collective efforts {Sadguru’s teachings} of all we found a suitable place.

A proposal with regards to the new place was forwarded to our sanstha, and with the approval of Pujay Sameersinh Vaidya – Dattopadhya we started to conduct upasna at the new place.
16th day when we started to conduct upasna at the new placeADD: CHOGLE HIGH SCHOOL, NEAR SHRI KIRSHNA NAGAR, BORIVALI EAST, MUMBAI 400066, MAHARASHTRA.

On that very day we had Sadanandsinh Vartak sharing his anubhav about Param Pujay Bapu and information about our sanstha, the presence of bhakta’s was 400 to 500, then on every Sunday volunteers from our centre would go to different areas and preach about our beloved Bapu and his pravachan’s, the count of bhakta’s by year end 2003 increased to 1200.

Today we stand in 2013, its been 13years we our following the practice of upasna on every Saturday
